Perthshire Festivals

The Amber Festival - The event was created, managed by and stars Dougie MacLean and his family, and brings together many musicians and entertainers from different parts of the world who have been involved with Dougie MacLean over the years. It also provides an opportunity for him to perform little heard songs, as well as well known favourites!

Rewind -The 80's Music Festival! The biggest and wildest celebration of the music of the 1980s returns to Perthshire for another year! Whether you want a blast from the past or just enjoy listening to the classics, Rewind offers a high energy experience with 27 top acts over the course of one weekend.

Perth Festival of the Arts - Founded in 1972, the Perth Festival of the Arts is one of Scotland’s oldest continuously running festival. Originally, focused on opera and classical music, their scope has greatly expanded and offers something for all the family, including A-list performers and some of the most highly respected creative organisations in the world.

Taking place primarily at Perth Concert Hall at St John’s Kirk, the festival is a great chance to experience culture slap bang in the centre of the city, within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants and amenities that offer a perfect day out for all.

Fake Festival Fake Festival is the only touring festival of tribute acts in the UK. South Inch is the perfect location for a day of performances from three of the best professional tribute bands in the country. These groups are experts in mimicry but don’t let the gimmick put you off – they also put on one hell of a show. Talented local acts will also be joining the headliners during the afternoon showcase, offering some up and coming names a big chance to perform in front of a big, home grown crowd.

Solas Festival - Solas is a weekend long festival open to all ages in the celebration of music and the arts designed to inspire and challenge as well as entertain. Their aim is place art in its wider historical, cultural and political context, allowing visitors to experience an inclusive and tolerant space

Southern Fried Festival - Perth’s much loved celebration of country, western & bluegrass music. Southern Fried is an ode to all things Americana, with previous year’s headliners including some of the top names in contemporary country music, all in the most unlikely of settings. Declared to be “one of the best gigs he’s ever done” by the legendary Seasick Steve, it’s the crowds and atmosphere that keep bringing people back to Perth. Southern Fried was named Best Small Festival at the 2014 Scottish Event Awards, and it’s only grown since then, with more music and more workshops, outdoor, free and acoustic gigs, an open mic and mouth-watering food to match the name!
