The internationally renowned Blair Castle International Horse Trials and Country Fair is held annually in August, in the beautiful parkland surrounding Blair Castle, about 25 miles from the hotel. The event is owned and managed by Atholl Estates, who also manage the castle and surrounding land.
The first Three Day Event at Blair was held in 1989, and since then the event has gone from strength to strength, hosting the Junior European Championships in 1996, and attracting in excess of 50,000 spectators annually
Other notable events in and near Perth include the wonderful Perth Races, and numerous flower, garden and food festivals. And many small highland Perthshire towns and villages hold superb local cultural events and craft fairs
Not to mention the wonderful Pitlochry and Perth Theatres (and Perth Concert Hall), all now with programmes running throughout the year
